Dr. Heather Clark is a leader in modern professional dentistry with over a decade of experience and an extensive background in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Improving her patient’s quality of life is achieved in her practice through the dedication and support of her team and her focused studies in complex restorative cases and implant dentistry. Toddlers to seniors, Dr. Clark applies her heart and knowledge to the care of all patients!

A native of Wathena, Kansas, Dr. Heather Clark graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2007 and completed an optional Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UMKC. Dr. Clark has attended Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ, and studied under Frank Spear, D.D.S, where curriculum focused on complex, comprehensive esthetic and restorative dentistry, with an emphasis on treatment modalities for patients that have bruxism (teeth grinding) and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD). Dr. Clark has been a clinical instructor with our local Dental Hygiene School through North Central Missouri College at Hillyard Technical Center.

Dr. Clark is an active member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA) and their study club, trained under Dr. David Galler, a Top 1% Invisalign doctor. Her studies and case completions have helped her earn recognition as an Invisalign Premier Provider. As a Founding Member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, she is focused on pioneering total body health and wellness for her patients. Not only has Dr. Clark completed continuing education courses with Tucker Educational Excellence for Sleep Apnea treatment with oral appliances, she is also certified as a Healthy Start Provider, providing all natural dental treatment modalities for Sleep Disordered Breathing for children. She is continuously attending courses and participating in study clubs to advance dental knowledge to benefit those with Sleep Apnea and Sleep Disordered Breathing.

Dr. Clark often volunteers her time in our community speaking to schools and organizations on the importance of oral health. Smiles From The Heart, a community-wide, Annual Free Dental Day in St. Joseph is headed and hosted personally by Dr. Clark and her team. With participation from supporting dentists and community volunteers, they have provided nearly $200,000 in free dentistry to those in need with this event alone! Making a difference in her patients’ lives by raising their self-esteem and overall health and wellness is what Dr. Clark finds most rewarding in her profession. She enjoys forming relationships with her patients inside and out of the office. With the remarkable dedication her team members uphold to their patients and one another, it is clear why Dr. Clark can’t help but boast her admiration for her team.

Amongst her favorite pastimes of reading, baking, gardening, and working out, Dr. Clark and her husband are blessed with a son, Coen, and two daughters, Gracen and Halle. Above all, they enjoy spending quality time together alongside family and friends.
